Session terms

A session is confirmed when payment has cleared, not when the form is submitted. Until then the slot is held briefly and then released.

Deposits are accepted on most packages when you book at least 7 days ahead. The balance is due on or before the day of the shoot, and you can settle it online from your receipt at any time.

Prices shown include everything listed under the package. Anything added afterwards — extra retouching, prints, additional hours — is quoted before it is charged.

Tell me as early as you can and I will move your session once, at no charge, subject to availability. Same-week changes depend on what else is in the diary.

If you cancel more than fourteen days before the shoot, anything you have paid beyond the deposit is refunded. Inside fourteen days, the deposit is retained — the date was held for you and turned others away.

If I have to cancel for any reason, you are refunded in full, including the deposit.

Sessions start at the booked time. Arriving late shortens the session rather than extending it, because the next booking is already in the diary.

Weather affects outdoor shoots. If conditions make the work impossible we reschedule at no charge — that is not a cancellation.

Bring whoever you like within the group size your package covers. Additional people are charged at the rate shown when you book.

Your proofing gallery arrives within five working days of the shoot, and within ten for weddings. You choose the frames you want edited from it.

Your package includes a set number of fully retouched photographs. Beyond that, a full retouch is ₵60 and a basic colour-and-exposure edit is ₵25 — and the price is always shown before you commit to it.

Once you approve your selection it is locked, and editing begins. Finished files follow within ten to fourteen days, or three weeks for weddings.

Any outstanding balance is payable before finished files are released.

Files stay available for download for at least 120 days. Please save them somewhere of your own — I keep backups, but they are not a permanent archive service.

I retain copyright in every photograph, as is standard.

You receive an unlimited personal-use licence: print them, frame them, share them anywhere you like, at any size. You do not need to ask.

Commercial use — advertising, brand campaigns, resale — needs a usage licence. It is included in the event and fashion packages, and quoted separately otherwise.

I may use photographs from your session in my portfolio, on this site, or on social media. If you would rather I did not, just say so — before, during or after. No explanation needed and no charge for asking.

Gift cards are valid for twelve months from purchase, are not redeemable for cash, and are not refundable once issued. Any unspent balance stays on the card.

Group rates deepen as more of the group books. The rate you receive is the rate at the moment you book — it is not applied retrospectively to people who booked earlier.

Group codes expire 45 days after they are opened.
